I’m back with more memoir recommendations. This time they are graphic novels!
I love graphic novels — they are like more in depth/longer comics that tickle that visual part of my brain while also diving into some tough topics. If I can convince you to read anything, I hope it’s one of these but especially Gender Queer. It is constantly put on book ban lists and challenged in schools for its content, but for me, it was a way to understand my enby friends and educate myself.

Graphic Novels
- Gender Queer by Maia Kobabe
- Fun Home: A Family Tragicomic by Alison Bechdel
- Persepolis: The Story of a Childhood by Marjane Satrapi
- Good Talk: A Memoir in Conversations by Mira Jacob
